Parents Claim Special Needs Discrimination In Lebanon Schools

Are special ed students in Lebanon being unfairly treated? A group of parents with disabled kids says 'yes', and is holding a meeting this morning to raise awareness.

The group 'Advocates for Lebanon R-3 Special Education' says while typical students are being taught in a classroom, the special needs kids are sent to class in a trailer behind the junior high school.

This morning's meeting is at 9:00 a.m. at the Lebanon-Laclede County Library, and is open to the public.

The meeting will feature a guest speaker from the state legislature. Wentzville Senator Scott Rupp is known for pushing legislation that advocates for people with developmental disabilities.
