Ham Radio Operators Gather This Weekend

It's been a year since a devastating tornado ripped through Joplin and the first to report the sightings of it were SKYWARN storm spotters.  This weekend some of those Ham radio operators are going over training exercises to be prepared for the next disaster that could happen.  There are now over 700,000 Amateur Radio licensees in the U.S.

Locations where demonstrations will be held this weekend:

Springfield,MO -American Red Cross, Division and West Bypass.

Nixa, MO -High Pointe School on Cheyenne Road.

Joplin, MO- DOVER HILL located across North Main Street Road from Ozark Christian College.
Head north from downtown Joplin, go past the light at Murphy Blvd, over the hill. Entrance is the the fence row on the left across from the college.
