Man Shot And Wounded In SE Springfield

Springfield police are looking for a suspect who shot a man in the knee in a sub-division south of Battlefield Road and west of Highway 65.
The incident happened in the 3400 block of South Juniper, near Hoke Avenue.
Early reports indicate a homeowner in the area heard a commotion outside followed by a gunshot.
When they looked outside a car was seen speeding away and a man was in the front yard on the ground.
The wounded man was taken inside the witnesse's home until police and EMTs arrived.
The suspect is believed to be wearing a red shirt over a white tank top.
