Springfield Police Close Homeless Camp
Police in Springfield have closed down a homeless camp after the area was linked to an increase in crime at stores near Glenstone and Kearney.
Police Chief Paul Williams tells KTTS News, transients were given 24 hours to leave and given information about short term housing along with other services.
When officers returned the following day, 18 folks were arrested for trespassing on private property. 17 of them also had outstanding warrants for other crimes.
