Mizzou Researcher Says Link To Poor Math And Kids Obesity
(AP) - A researcher from the University of Missouri says she has found a link between childhood obesity and poor math skills.
Sara Gable says children who were obese in kindergarten performed poorly on math tests starting with the first grade.
She says the poor math performance is connected in part to feelings of sadness, loneliness and other shortcomings in social skills.
