Bank Sues Congressman Cleaver For $1.5 Million
(AP ) - Bank of America is suing Kansas City Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, his wife and their Kansas City company for more than $1.5 million the bank says is owed from a loan in 2002.
The suit filed in Jackson County names the Democratic lawmaker, his wife and Cleaver Co..
It says they failed to make payments on more than $1.3 million for a car wash in suburban Grandview.
Calls to Cleaver's office were not immediately returned.
