(AP) - The mayor of Cassville in southwest Missouri has resigned, one week after the city administrator resigned.

Cassville Mayor Billy Hill says he resigned Monday afternoon.

He cited issues that had been going on in the city for some time, but did not elaborate.

City Administrator Eugene Dilbeck resigned last Monday night for reasons that have not been publicized.

Hill said he didn't know how the resignation will affect the leadership in Cassville.

The mayoral position is not on the election ballot Tuesday.
