One Lottery Website Crashed During Mega Millions Rush
(AP) - The Illinois lottery website stopped working for 25 minutes around mid-afternoon Friday as players sought tickets for a record $640 million jackpot.
A spokeswoman for the national organization that runs the multi-state Mega Millions lottery says the website was down from about 3:30 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.
Maryland lottery officials announced early this morning that a winning ticket had been sold in their state.
