Royals Play The Rockies
(AP) - Billy Butler hit a two-run homer and Luis Mendoza worked four scoreless innings as the Kansas City Royals beat the Colorado Rockies 5-2 on Saturday.
Mendoza, the 2011 Pacific Coast League pitcher of the year, gave up just two hits and struck out three in Surprise, Arizona.
Mendoza has not allowed a run in six innings of work over two spring training starts.
