Airman Dies In Central Arkansas Vehicle Crash

(AP) - Military officials say an airman at the Little Rock Air Force Base has died in a traffic accident in central Arkansas.

A statement released Saturday by the 19th Airlift Wing says Airman 1st Class Kyle Truitt was injured when his vehicle collided with a car on Arkansas Highway 107 in Sherwood on Thursday.

Officials say the 23-year-old died at St. Vincent's Hospital in Sherwood Thursday night.

Lt. Col. George Johnson, who commands the 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, said Truitt's wingmen will miss him dearly.

Military officials say the accident is under investigation.
