State Facing Tight Budget, Again
(Missourinet) - Cutting red ink, and funding public education, by law, are the top two priorities facing lawmakers when they return to Jefferson City to begin drafting a new budget.
State lawmakers always face difficult choices when it comes to spending.
Those choices will be even harder this time, because millions of dollars in federal stimulus money has dried up.
