4th Man To Change Plea In Missouri Sex Slave Case
(AP) - A 63-year-old man from Lebanon accused of taking part in a conspiracy to sexually torture a young woman is scheduled to change his not-guilty plea.
Michael Stokes has a change-of-plea hearing scheduled Jan. 5 in federal court in Kansas City. He and four other men were charged more than a year ago with sexually torturing a woman in the Lebanon mobile home of Edward Bagley over a number of years.
Bagley's wife, Marilyn, was charged earlier this year with the same conspiracy. Three of the men already have pleaded guilty.
Stokes was accused of paying Bagley so he could have sex with and torture the woman, who prosecutors say was groomed by the Bagleys to be a sex slave.
The Bagleys have pleaded not guilty.
