Man From Springfield To Stand Trial In Shooting
A judge in Lawrence County has ruled a man from Springfield will stand trial for shooting at and chasing a truck driver back in April from Carthage to Mount Vernon.
The driver of the big rig called 911 while heading east on I-44 and said someone had shot at him and was after him.
Nicholas Cox was finally stopped by deputies. No one was hurt.
Inside his pickup truck deputies found a gun, bullets and some meth.
