Defendant in Sex Slave Case in Missouri To Change Plea
(AP) - A St. Louis man is scheduled to change his plea in a sex trafficking case just weeks after a federal prosecutor said she would not charge him with trying to have her killed.
Bradley Cook is one of five men charged late last year with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. They're accused of torturing a woman who says she moved in 2002 into the rural Lebanon, Mo., trailer of Edward Bagley and forced to be a sex slave.
Cook is scheduled to change his plea of not guilty next week. Two others already have pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Cynthia Cordes claimed in court filings that Cook tried to hire a hit man to kill her while he was held in a federal facility in Kansas.
