Thanksgiving Weekend Over, Christmas Travel Holiday Near
Now that Thanksgiving weekend is coming to an end, folks will have a short time before they hit the road again for Christmas holiday travel.
Missouri Highway Patrol Sergeant Jason Pace says you need to get a few things in order before we get snow and ice.
He says cold weather is hard on a car, so to keep from getting stranded make sure you check the fluids and keep the gas tank full.
Other things to do include keeping the cellphone charged, pack blankets, extra clothes and some food and water.
Pace also says plan your trip before hitting the road, don't try and read a map or operate a GPS when you are behind the wheel.
