GM Ready For Expansion At Wentzvile Plant
(AP) - General Motors is ready to detail expansion plans for its assembly plant in Wentzville.
The automaker will take the wraps off its plans during a Thursday morning news conference at the plant where it makes the Chevy Express and GM full-size vans.
The city has approved a tax abatement plan to allow GM to add a half a million square feet of space.
Some reports suggest the plant will begin making mid-size Colorado pickup trucks.
The trucks are now made in Louisiana at a plant set to close next August.
