Fatal Crash North Of Springfield
A man from Republic is dead, his two small children taken to the hospital after a crash on Highway 65 near Fair Grove. Troopers say Eric Bohnstedt was passing another vehicle at high speed when his car was pushed into the center lane and flipped over in the west side lanes. Bohnstedt was pronounced dead at the scene. His two children ages 3 and 2 were taken to St. John's in Springfield with minor and moderate injuries.
