Update: Shooting In Greene County Believed To Be Self Inflicted
An update on a story you heard first on KTTS News overnight. Greene County deputies say a man who reported being shot in a drive-by on Farm Road 135 near Walnut Lawn and Golden apparently shot himself.
The sheriff's office says it was originally reported to deputies that a black vehicle drove up to the apartment and the man inside shot the victim in the leg. The victim was treated and released at a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Investigators have determined there are no suspects and this is not a drive-by shooting. They're looking into what is suspected to be a self inflicted gunshot and a false police report.
No arrests have been made, but a case is being forwarded to the Greene County Prosecutor for review and the potential filing of criminal charges.
