Wal-Mart Wants More "Markets" in Springfield
The Springfield-News Leader says Wal-Mart has filed papers to build a third "neighborhood market"--this time in southwest Springfield and is considering even more.
The city is still looking over permits for grocery style outlets on North Glenstone and West Republic Road.
The latest one is planned for a location on West El Camino Alto Drive, near the Sam's Club in James River Commons.
The company says each store will hire about 90 workers and will be open around the clock.
