(AP) - Arkansas Tech University officials say enrollment at its two campuses has set a record.
Officials announced Friday that 10,464 students are attending classes at the Russellville and Ozark campuses, up from 9,815 in fall 2010.
The 6.6-percent increase for the fall 2011 semester marks the first time Arkansas Tech has had more than 10,000 students and the 13th consecutive year in which enrollment at the school has gone up.
Officials say there are 1,589 freshmen students enrolled for the fall, which breaks a record of 1,527 freshmen who enrolled in 2009.
