Grants From Uncle Sam May Be Harder To Come By Says Blunt
During a stop in Springfield US Senator Roy Blunt said since 2008 government spend has gone up 25-percent. And with the S & P rating being what it is, local communities may find less federal grant money coming their way, which could mean less money to help police and fire departments get new equipment.
He also says he wishes we had some 800-thousand dollars in stimulus money back to use on things that would last for 30 thirty years.
Blunt added that the bigger question is what will the federal government to do help create jobs in the private sector.
