I-44 Westbound Reopened At Mile Marker 65
After being closed for most of the morning, MoDOT now has all lanes on westbound I-44 at mile marker 65 west of Springfield open.
The right lane of the interstate was closed while crews cleared a tractor-trailer fire between Hoods Truck stop and the Republic exit.
Authorities say tires on a cereal truck caught fire prompting the closure of the interstate.
No one was hurt and no other vehicles were involved.
