Nixon Asks For Another Disaster Declaration
Governor Nixon has asked President Obama to issue a disaster declaration for about two dozen northern Missouri counties hit by severe storms and flooding along the Missouri River.
The disaster request covers events since the first of June.
Portions of Missouri, including Joplin, are already under a federal disaster declaration for tornadoes and flooding that took place this spring.
