(AP) - Boaters on Stockton Lake in southwestern Missouri need to take caution because of low water levels.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says trees, tree stumps and other obstructions that are normally well below the waterline may now be just under the surface, posing hazards to boats.
The Corps says lack of rain and a long spell of hot, sunny weather have lowered the water level.
Stockton Lake is located about 30 miles northwest of Springfield.
