Oppressive Heat Continues
We're still under an excessive heat warning through Saturday night for areas north and west of Springfield, and a heat advisory for the rest of the Ozarks.
Looking for a high near 100 today with a heat index of 105.
By Saturday, the National Weather Service says there's a chance for thunderstorms, but it will still be hot with temperatures in the mid to upper 90's and a heat index in the triple digits.
That chance for rain will extend into Monday, only to be offset by heat incises again in the triple digits.
