Police Officer's Toddler Fatally Shoots Himself

(AP) - Police in suburban St. Louis say an officer's 3-year-old son is dead after accidentally shooting
himself.
The Maryland Heights officer was on duty and not at home when the shooting occurred Tuesday.
Police released few details Tuesday night but said a woman had called 911 reporting that her 3-year-old son accidentally shot himself.
Officers and medical personnel found the toddler with a single gunshot wound. He was taken to DePaul Hospital and later pronounced dead.
