EB I-44 Blocked On Western Edge Of Springfield
Both eastbound lanes of I-44 are blocked this morning on the western edge of Springfield between Chestnut and West Bypass. Police say a tractor trailer has flipped over. Watch for officers setting up detours around the crash.
Word is coming in that there is someone hurt, and a landing zone for an air ambulance is being set up on the interstate west of the Division Street overpass. The road could be blocked for up to two hours as the crash is cleaned up . The crash took place around eight o'clock this morning.
