Independence Day festivities in Joplin include a visit from national radio personality Rush Limbaugh.

His appearance evolved from a contest to promote his company Two If By Tea. It sought nominations for the talk show host and Missouri native to send a truckload of chilled tea products to a 4th of July celebration in a city that celebrates American pride.

After getting a number of entries from Joplin, Limbaugh decided to accompay the truck to the tornado devastated community. He'll be at Landreth Park tomorrow at 8pm. Country acts Confederate Railroad and Joe Diffie will join him.
