Folks Oppose Race Track Near Hollister
Some folks living near Hollister say they don't want their peace and quiet destroyed by a $250 million dollar NASCAR-style race track and sports park. They got together this weekend to speak out and tell the developer to take it somewhere else.
Stacy Whitfield says they are trying to take her slice of Heaven away, and while she's sure the track will probably go in, she still has to believe it won't. The developer says the proposed track, north of Ridgedale is in a valley to buffer the noise. Grating on the site has started and a zoning change is needed before the race park opens in 2013.
