Power companies from all over the midwest are helping crews in Joplin work to get electricity up and running. Springfield City Utilities is no different when it comes to lending a hand. Four CU line crews are in Joplin this week working along side Empire District Electric. Officials estimate some 60 electric transmission poles were destroyed in the EF-5 twister.
