Cardinals Helping Tornado Victims
The St.Louis Cardinals and the double-A Springfield Cardinals are making a $25,000 donation to Springfield based Convoy of Hope for the families devastated by Sunday's tornado in Joplin.
In addition to the donation from the team, the Springfield Cardinals will be collecting fan donations at the gates before each of their games this homestand at Hammons Field.
The team will make a formal check presentation to representatives from Convoy of Hope prior to Friday night's game against Corpus Christi.
