Police Seek Motive In St. Louis Murder-Suicide
(AP) - Police continue to seek a motive in what is being called a murder-suicide in St. Louis.
Authorities say 41-year-old Lawrence Verble shot his wife and her teenage daughter on Thursday, then turned the gun on himself.
The girl, 16-year-old Jessica Beckwith, died. Verble's wife, whose name has not been released, is hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
A young boy who lives at the home was at school at the time of the shooting.
