Salazar Trial Delayed Again

Eddie Salazar, Sr. is charged with the murder of his 8-month-old son, Eddie Salazar, Jr.
The trial of a man from Carthage charged with murdering his 8 month old son has been delayed again.
Eddie Salazar touched off an Amber Alert in February of last year when he told police two masked men broke into his home and beat him,and kidnapped the baby.
The body of Eddie Salazar Jr. turned up two days later in the Spring River. His death was ruled a homicide.
Published reports say the trial had been set to begin Monday, but a health issue for the defense attorney means another delay.
The judge and Jasper County prosecutor agreed. A new trial date will be set next month.
