Man suspected of robbing Great Southern Bank at Chestnut and College Image by Springfield Police Department
Police in Springfield are giving credit to Greene County Sheriffs deputies for keeping a bank robber close to home.
Authorities say the man who used a knife to take money from the assistant manager at Great Southern Bank on west Chestnut Expressway left in a green Ford Mustang.
Deputies on patrol near Highway 65 and Evans Road stopped a car matching that description and notified police, who then made the arrest.
