265/165 Across Table Rock Dam To Close Tuesday
The roadway over Table Rock Dam that carries Missouri Route 265 and Taney County Route 165 is going to be closed Tuesday. MoDOT says the road could be closed for up to 14 days.. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is going to use a contractor to repair an eroded section on a dirt slope north of the dam. The contractor will be using 165 to set up the repair equipment. A portion of the slope gave way during the recent heavy rains we've had.
Route 265/165 will be closed between the Dewey Short Visitor Center entrance on the south side of the dam and the intersection where Route 265 and Route 165 split near Chateau on the Lake.
The main entrance to Chateau on Route 265/165 will be closed during the work, but the entrance to Chateau on Route 265 will remain open. For more information on the repairs to the slope, you can contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at 417-334-4101, ext. 3006.
