Corps Holding Off On Punching Hole In Levee
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Army Corps of Engineers has put off making a final decision on a plan to intentionally breach a levee in southeast Missouri. The corps wants to break the levee at Birds Point in Mississippi County to protect prime farmland from the rising Mississippi River.
