Update: Man Identified in Fatal Car vs. Pedestrian Crash

Springfield police say Billy Ray Jones from Ozark is the victim in a fatal car vs. pedestrian crash at Highway 65 and Evans Road. Officers say it was an accident. They say the driver pulled onto the highway around 5 am. He told police he thought he hit something, but only saw a boot when he got out to check. Police later found Jones's body. They say Jones was wearing dark clothes and the driver never saw him.
