Springfield has set a new record daily rainfall amount. The old record for today was 2.47 inches. At noon today, it was at 2.87 inches, with rain still falling. The weather service says some areas have received between 3 and 5 inches, with the heaviest rain falling between Galena, Springfield, Rogersville, Bolivar, Stockton, and Nevada.
