I was talking to a friend the other day and she said she was making chili for dinner! I thought isn't it too early for soups and stews and chili? Then I thought about it- NOPE!
I can't wait to come home to some good old crock pot potato soup, or a steamy bowl of spicy chili.
I am sooo open to any and all recipe's when it comes to soup- please feel free to post them either on this blog OR on my FB page at Summer at KTTS.com.

Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken
2lb (32) chicken breasts, boneless skinless chicken
1 cup salsa Homemade or purchased
1 cup petite diced canned tomato's
2 tbsp. taco seasoning
1 cup onions diced fine
1/2 cup celery diced fine
1/2 cup carrots shredded
3 tbsp.sour cream, reduced fat
Direction place the chicken in a slow cooker. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the meat then layer the vegetables and salsa on top. Pour a half cup of water over the mixture, set on low and cook for 6-8 hours. the meat is cooked when it shreds and reaches an internal temp of 165. when ready to serve break up the chicken with forks and stir in the sour cream Makes 8 one cup servings!
