Summertime always brings plenty of outdoor activities. See what you and the family can do this weekend.- Summer


 Movies at Founders Park - "Wreck it Ralph" starts at dusk. Get Free tickets at Doling, Chesterfield, and Kinney Family Centers plus the Media Com Ice Park!   If you didn't get your free ticket- admission will be five dollars per person.

Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat plays at the Springfield Little theater. Ticket Prices are 8 dollars for adults and show times are 12:30 and 2:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.

Share your talent on stage with the Unbound Mic Session at the Park Central Square Library. The free event begins at 6:30 until 9:00 pm.


Battle of Wilson Creek Driving Tour 10am to 1pm at the Library Center. Tour attendees will see a cannon firing demonstration at the Battlefield. Registration is required and there is limited seating. Call 882-0714 for more information.

Butterfly Festival 9am to 3pm at the Springfield Botanical gardens at Nathaniel Greene park. Tours of the Butterfly House, Caterpillar petting zoo and kid's crafts. Free admission

Kid's Mark at the Discovery Center begins at 10 am until 2pm. Sell or shop the marketplace. registration is 10 and includes admission to the Discovery Center.

Ice Cream Social in Fair Grove at the historic Wommack Mill. The fun begins at 5:30 with ice cream plus  fireworks at dusk!

Silver Dollar City's Moonlight Madness begins with rides open until 10 pm thru Aug. 4.   Enjoy Silver Dollar City at night and join in the street dances!
