BTW- I was talking to what I call a "leaf" authority and he told me that we should see the leaves change within the next month! Can't wait to see the sugar maples turn to beautiful orange on Sunshine Street!

FRIDAY
Don’t miss the Ozarks Steam Engines Steam-O-Rama it runs thru Sunday at the Republic Show-grounds just off U.S. 60. Activities for everyone! Shop at the Flea Market, tractor pull for the kids, and steam engine demonstrations! Admission is 5 dollars for Adults free for kids 12 and younger.
Grab a pair of chaps and don’t forget the spurs…. It’s the PBR at the Q this weekend! The professional bull riders show their skills- Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices vary.
Springfield Fall RV show and sale at the Ozark Empire fairgrounds!
Teen Friday Night at the Library Station 6-8pm. Stop in for games, crafts its free for kids in grades 6 thru 12.
SATURDAY
Cider Days begin on Saturday 10 to 5pm on Historic walnut Street. There will be artists, crafters, three performance stages, a children’s area, and of course food and cider! Admission is 4 bucks! The event runs thru Sunday!
“Les Mis” continues at the Springfield Little Theatre thru Oct. 7! This fun musical begins at 7:30 ticket prices vary!
Good Samaritan Boys Ranch Boathouse Race- 5k Trail Run/ 5k Canoe and Kayak Race at the Lake Springfield Boathouse. Entry fees vary register at ranchlife.org or at 6:30 day of race.
Flying Pig 5 k and Warrior Challenge- 8am to 10:30 pm at the OCH Christian County Clinic on Ridgecrest. Warrior Challenge includes additional fitness obstacles such as cross fit, martial arts, Zumba, and boot camp. ( 417837- 4279)
SUNDAY
New and expecting parents and grandparents can attend the Safe “Kids Baby Extravaganza” 1-5 pm on Sunday Sept 16 at the Ramada Oasis Convention Center on North Glenstone. Admission is 5 dollars/ Register online at safekidsspringfield.org.
