WEEKEND UPDATE for June 29-July 1, 2012
FRIDAY
Republics' “Have a Blast” Celebration begins at 6pm at the JR Martin Park..Food, Fun, Music and lots of family entertainment with fireworks at dusk….
 Teen Friday Nights 6-8 pm at the Library Station 2535 N. Kansas expressway. Games, crafts, and stuff for the kids grades 6-12. FREE
Easton Corbin  performs at the Tri-County Fairgrounds off 60 highway in Mt. Grove gates open at 6pm.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at the Marshfield Communitiy Theatre. The production runs at 7-pm Friday and Saturday and 3pm on Sunday tickets are 12 dollars.
SATURDAY
The Mansfield Community Center is hosting the Annual Freedom Celebration with a 5k run, Carnival games, a Farmers Market, pie eating contest, Parade and Fireworks at dark! Come join the fun east of Springfield just off highway 60! 
 Hikes and Walks at the Valley Water Mill Park starts at 9:30am… its Free but registration is required 833-8647
Learn about the medicinal qualities of herbs, and take some home.  The fun starts at 10am to noon at the Springfield Botanical Center. Fee is 20 dollars registration is required 891-1515
SUNDAY –
1776 is presented at the Springfield Contemporary Theatre with shows at 2pm on Sunday July 1 and July 8 at at 7:30 July 5-7 ticket prices vary- 831-8001 for info.
Watercolor USA continues at the Springfield Art Museum! A great place to cool off and see some awesome paintings!
