I usually make fun of the people who shop on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Why fight the huge crowds on Black Friday? Why do I 'have' to shop online on Monday? The deals are just as good at other times.
This year - I did both - while denying actually doing it, of course.
Friday morning I had to be at a clinic to give blood as part of my annual physical. I had been in a particular store just a few days prior and had even taken pictures of an item to see if my wife liked it. She did. It was 20% off at the time. Then I heard an ad, on my station, the store offering 25% off between midnite and 8am on Black Friday. Well, Moma didn't raise no dummy. I had to be in town early Friday to give blood, so I'll just swing by there and save another 5%!
Karen rode into town with me on Friday, we got the deal with 25% off, stopped by and gave blood, then headed to the grocery store for a few things. Then we went to Wal-Mart for a some things for the kids we adopted the Christmas Crusade, then there were a few items we wanted from another store.
But we weren't Black Friday shopping! What! Just because we didn't have ad's with us, looking for special items, or using an app to be at the right place at the right time, we didn't think we were Black Friday shoppers?
New flash big boy! It was Black Friday and we took advantage of Black Friday specialty pricing. That makes us Black Friday shoppers.
And, I bought a propane camp oven online on Monday! That makes me a Cyber Monday shopper too.
I saved a bunch of money, and there ain't nothin' wrong with that!!!
I'm now part of the millions of other shoppers.....the majority.....that's me, finally one of the popular crowd!!!!!!
