I love technology just as much as the next person, but am I the only one who is taken aback by all the hype and some of the behaviors this week over the new iPhone 5?
Just a few of the events this week:
1) Some iPhone fans who started camping out on Tuesday to be in line to buy an iPhone today, were mistaken for homeless people and asked to move by police. iPhone 5 line sitters are charging $150 a day to sit in line for you!
2) Police say watch your doorstep. Thieves may go through your packages and steal iPhones delivered to your house.
3) Thieves stole $100,000 worth of iPhone 5's and iPads from a Tennessee Best Buy. Police said the robbery was well orchestrated and accomplished in less than 3 minutes.
It's a phone. I understand it's new. I understand it does cool things. But it's a phone.
I'll get off my soapbox now.....
