... thank heavens there's still a lot of help!
It always amazes me how our listeners step up each year and adopt children to provide gifts for during Christmas. The KTTS Christmas Crusade has been helping families in our community for literally decades... toys, clothes for the kids and a Christmas dinner for the family. A HUGE thank you to everyone that gave so generously again this year.
But, here at KTTS, we are always hearing about all kinds of needs that come up, especially during the holidays. Thankfully, we also hear from folks that still want to help their neighbors in need... SO.... here are a couple more ways you can help:
"Rare Breed" is a part of "The Kitchen" and helps the more than 500 homeless teens here in Greene County. These kids literally live on the streets and in shelters and most have no parents or family. Right now, Rare Breed is asking for hygiene items for the kids... toothbrushes, shampoo, chapstick, etc. If you'd like to help, items can be dropped off at Newks on S. Glenstone.
"The Least of These" provides assistance to Christian County residents and because of all the bad weather, they have been down on donations for those they help. SO... they are "filling the bus" on Saturday, December 14th at the Nixa Walmart, noon to 4, collecting food, clothing, hygiene items and space heaters.
Small things can make a world of difference... and what a way to celebrate Christmas!
