So... what to do about internet...

service, that is.

What do you do when you don't use a cable or satellite service for your television viewing AND you want to drop you landline service for your home phone?  This is my cunundrum.

I will admit, I haven't actually looked into mediacom for internet service, but my sneeking supsicion is that I would have to also have cable service to get the internet service.  I do know that if I drop my landline, I no longer am able to have my DSL service for internet.

I know, I know, I am really pushing this saving money business, but I am at a point in my life where I can't afford to waste one penny and the cost of a landline... even the cheapest landline, is a waste of money when you don't actually use it!  I might actually go without internet if it were just me in the house, but I do have two sons and when they are home, they have to be able to access the internet for homework and email and believe me, they do NOT have those fancy smartphones to use either!  I can't imagine what it costs for THAT service!

Anyway... am I just gonna have to stick with either a landline or cable service or can I come up with a workable solution?   I just thought I'd ask YOU!
