Who remembers Miss Kitty?

  • Print

... THE first female disc jockey in Springfield... And, she was a KTTS Ranchhand!

Miss Kitty came to work for KTTS in 1973, first as a commercial copy writer and then shortly thereafter became our first female disc jockey, paving the way for the rest of us girls!  She was a mentor to me when I came to work at KTTS as a teenager in 1979.  A piece of radio history... and KTTS history.

It seems only fitting that Nancy and I get Miss Kitty back on the air waves with our 'girl show'... so we will be talking to her this Friday afternoon beginning in the 4 o'clock hour.  Hope you can join us for this trip down memory lane... part of MY celebration of our 40th Birthday!

Then on Tuesday, we'll talk to Don Paul... another former Ranchhand and the FIRST KTTS program director... from 1972 to 2000....what memories, what memories!
