Curly's View

It happens every year...

Christmas is ALWAYS on December 25th... never changes, huh?

But, every year, it's like a revelation... OH, it's Christmas time and I'm not ready!  That's me, unfortunately... I'm never ready for the shopping, the cooking, the decorating... call me Scrooge, but I just don't enjoy any of that.  I've said it before and I'll say it again... I need a wife!  Okay, not really a wife, but somebody to handle all the details for me... you know, the Martha Stewart/Rachael Raye stuff that I am so awful at.

So yes, I procrastinate and then I scramble to get it all done... but that's not what really bothers me.  What really bothers me is the number of calls and emails we get from people needing assistance at Christmas... after the deadlines have passed!  We sincerely do our best to remind people early about the importance of applying for holiday assistance... we provide the information on who to contact and when on our website... we hope and pray each year that everyone gets the help they need for their family for the holidays... and yet, every year, there are those frantic last minute calls and emails from people who just waited to long or weren't paying attention and they just break my heart!

So, please... if you or someone you know needs assistance this Christmas... apply NOW.  The county information is under the events page for Christmas Crusade at KTTS.com.  Thank you and Merry Christmas!
