Yes, it is possible to eat so much soup you WANT to well... be unconscious at least!
I actually got a little creative Sunday afternoon... a rare occurence in MY kitchen! I had some potatoes and was trying to decide what to do with them when it hit me... SOUP! I could make potato soup. Well, that sounded a little too boring, so I got out several cookbooks, looked up all the recipes for soups involving potatoes... CLOSED all my cookbooks and just started 'inventing' my own potato soup.
Well, I sauteed onions and garlic in olive oil... added 5 large diced potatoes and barely covered with water... added some salt and pepper and cooked all that until the potatoes were almost done... then I chopped, fresh mushrooms, a chopped carrot and (try not to turn up your nose), chopped frozen spinach. I cooked that until they were done... THEN I added a flour and milk mixture to thicken... added more milk until it was just right... and then ended with a little butter. All the while, I was seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper until I got it just right. Then, I topped it with shredded cheddar cheese!
And OH, was it just right! It's been a long time since I ate until I was sick, but Sunday... I DID! I was miserable! Good thing I don't get 'creative' very often! Watch out Rachel Ray!
