I've always been pretty ridiculous, so when I saw the video for the Warrior Dash, it looked ridiculous enough to peak my interest. My brothers and I decided in February that we wanted to compete in the race and as of yesterday, in North Texas, we completed our first ever Warrior Dash! Warrior Dash, in short, is about a 3 mile race that involves crawling through mud, climbing over walls, jumping over fires and more. Yeah, like a said, ridiculous. Although training for the event should be a top priority, I put more emphasis on my costume (pictured below). Yes, people dress up in ridiculous costumes to run the race, so of course, I had to jump on that. America!!! If what I have written makes you have some interest in this race, you really should check it out. They do great work with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and it's a ton of fun!
I talk about it openly, I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan. It seems like every time she wins a big award, like she did last night with her Entertainer of the Year award at the ACMs, numerous people come out and say she doesn't deserve it. I'm here to tell you that she does.
The ACM Awards are on CBS this Sunday at 7pm. Here are my predictions for who I think will win in each category. Side note: I'm usually wrong on a majority of them. My picks are in bold and are underlined.
Forget the fact that this was opening weekend for the "Hunger Games," the fact that I saw any movie in theater at any point is unbelievable. There's no way I've seen more than 2 movies in theater within the last year and I only say that many, because I know my memory and assume there is a movie or 2 that I can't remember seeing.
It's a well know fact that I like a majority of chick flicks. My theory is that all men do, some are just afraid to admit it. I embrace it. So, some genius decided to put a Lady Antebellum song with clips from 2 classic chick flicks. Enjoy, I know I did.... and I'm not afraid to admit it.
If there's one thing I love about awards shows, it's making my predictions on who wins what category before hand. If there's one thing I hate, it's getting a majority of them wrong. It's like I'm trying my best to prove that I know very little about country music (which is wrong) every time I make these predictions. So, before I reveal my predictions, I need to preface it by saying that the most deserving artists don't always win these. I usually pick who I think deserves it and that may be a big reason I fail so much at it. So, this time, I'm choosing who I think will win the awards, whether they deserve it or not. Unless I'm wrong, then there's another excuse for it.
